You will be required to work on a wide range of complex financial planning areas, from IHT planning for HNW individuals, to advice for business owners, to NHS Pension analysis and advice, amongst others. You will be supported by an experienced, Chartered Paraplanner  and will be able to draw on the knowledge of other members of the paraplanning team in other offices, offering your insight to more junior paraplanners at the same time.

Our office is based in central Manchester and, as and when circumstances permit, you would be expected to spend at least three days per week in the office but outside of that could work from home if desired.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop financial planning strategies in line with the client's needs, goals and objectives, as agreed with the financial planner.

  • A range of other tasks including cash flow modelling, tax calculations, liaising with product providers etc.
  • Record/maintain case information on Intelligent Office in order to allow work to be logged, tracked and internal records/management information to be kept up to date.
  • Keep up to date with all relevant product, legislative or technical changes pertinent to the role and ensure CPD requirements are maintained and logged as appropriate.
  • Play an active part of the  Financial Planning team and support in the development of more junior members of the team where required.

 Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • The role will be suitable to someone who has a background in Paraplanning.
  • You will be at least level 4 Diploma qualified, with an aspiration to move on to Chartered Status. Any further progress in this regard will be fully supported by the company.
  • Critical to the role are a high level of literacy and numeracy, both written and verbal.
  • A ‘solution' mindset and adaptable to changing demands and priorities.
  • You will demonstrate commitment to your own development and seek opportunities to continuously improve your skills, experience and qualifications.
