Whether you’re just leaving school, graduating from university, or looking for a placement, at Mazars we have a wide range of opportunities for you to gain experience in a firm that truly cares about your aspirations.
At Mazars, we offer two types of full-time roles:
School Leaver Apprenticeship: If you have completed your A-Levels, BTECs or equivalent, a school leaver apprenticeship is suitable for those who have not gone to university. This route combines study with real hands-on work with gaining a professional qualification.
Graduate: If you have completed a university degree course or higher, we offer graduate trainee roles in services lines across Mazars. You’ll be working as part of the team and enjoying responsibility early on alongside studying towards a professional qualification.
At Mazars we have a wide range of opportunities for you to gain experience in a firm that truly cares about your aspirations. Our business is an engine for rapid and consistent career progression, and we are known for giving ambitious people early responsibility and exposure.
If you are looking for a summer internship, we offer paid internships for those in their penultimate year of university or 3rd year of a 4-year degree. Upon successful completion of this internship, you may be able to fast track to a graduate role.
If you are interested in work experience, we offer short work experience opportunities for those in years 12 and 13.
Alternatively, if you’re completing a university degree course with a year in industry, we offer industrial placements. This gives you the chance to join us on a 12-month paid placement and use that time with us to start your professional qualification. There may also be the opportunity to re-join the team onto one of our graduate programmes once you have completed your degree.
You can find the specific information for each opportunity on the job description and on our website.
No, you are only eligible for the graduate programme. The school leaver apprenticeship is for candidates who have not completed a university course and have not obtained a degree.
Yes, you are eligible to apply for our graduate programme.
Strong academic performance is important; however, we understand that things don't always go to plan. Mazars has a flexible approach to academic entry requirements to recruit the right people into the business. We want to set you up for success with your professional qualifications and allow you to reach your full potential.
Our application process looks at your whole self – academic achievements as well as other experiences in which you have grown and developed. We balance your academic results alongside your strengths and capabilities - to ensure that you will be successful in your role with us.
Please note that a small number of specialist roles have specific academic/degree requirements so please read the job descriptions carefully.
We also consider your achievements in the context of your socio-economic background, so encourage you to submit your contextual information when completing your application form.
There is the opportunity to add any work experience and/or employment history on the application form. It is something that you can utilise in an interview to showcase your motivation and fit for a role; however, this is not something that is essential to have to secure a role at Mazars. If you have taken some professional qualifications already, please make sure you disclose this on your application, and we will review this on a case-by-case basis.
We encourage applications from all candidates who fulfil our personal specifications so please read our job descriptions carefully. We don’t have age restrictions on our early careers roles so if you have what we need, please go ahead, and apply.
Our school leaver apprentice roles require A levels or equivalent to be eligible to apply so please apply when you are studying or have finished these.
We focus our application process on finding people who will thrive at Mazars. This is a unique place to work, so we try to discover if you are right for us, and if Mazars is right for you.
We want ambitious people with a passion and motivation for both Mazars and their chosen career path. We look for people who like to work amongst a diverse team of people, engaging well with others whilst building strong working relationships.
Throughout our interview and assessment process we ask ourselves:
Most importantly, do we share the same morals and values that at Mazars, we pride ourselves on.
We offer a diverse range of experiences, with prestigious clients and dynamic projects across a range of sectors and geographies. We offer an excellent technical grounding and real responsibility from the start, with early exposure to clients and partners. We have a culture of coaching, feedback, mentorship, and one-to-one support, so you will learn from working closely with accessible colleagues and leaders who have so much to share. Most importantly, we give our people the tools and support they need to define their own career path and realise their full potential. As part of your training, we offer the opportunity to gain a professional qualification whilst earning a competitive salary and gaining invaluable experience.
This includes funding, time off to study, attend college and complete online courses. Your professional qualification is only part of the story at Mazars; we support all our trainees with a blended approach to training and development including classroom study, 1:1 coaching, and soft skills training.
You will be supported by a mentor and an appraising manager to keep your career and aspirations on track. And you will be allocated a buddy who will support you to settle into the team and navigate your first year at Mazars.
We only accept one application per academic year (September – August).
It depends on the programme and role you apply for. We offer positions across our UK offices.
We offer a competitive starting salary which increases as you progress and pass your exams. Further details will be communicated to you if you are successfully offered a position.
Yes, but we will ask for confirmation and proof of your qualifications before you start work. You must have formally completed your studies and been awarded your qualification before joining, this includes if you are studying a Masters qualification.
We have two main early career intakes which are in September and January. We usually can't confirm exact start dates when you apply but typically it is in the first week of the month that the induction commences. You must have formally completed your studies in time for you to join the programme, please make sure of this as you will not be able to start with us and may be withdrawn. We would recommend applying for the next intake.
We understand that it can be difficult to pinpoint the business area your skillset and passion could be placed within. We’d recommend that you complete as much research as possible into different business areas to ensure you make the right choice.
You can find further details in our Early Careers Brochure on our website and by chatting to our Early Careers Team at events.
Every story is different at Mazars. Our people have amazing, personal experiences so the best way to learn about life here is to hear it first hand from them here.
Speak to one of our Mazars brand ambassadors at universities nationally and we will be running and attending various events across the UK throughout the year so come along and speak to us when we are on campus. Our events will be listed on our careers website once confirmed.
To stay connected with us in the meantime you can follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram.
At Mazars we recruit most roles on a first come, first served basis, so roles may close earlier than advertised if they are filled or close to filling. Some of our roles have fixed deadlines of which you can see clearly stated in the job description. For all roles though we encourage you to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
After completing the online application form, candidates will be invited to complete the Mazars online assessment. If you pass the Mazars online assessment, a member of the Early Careers team will then screen your application. If successful, you will be invited to attend a first stage interview, likely a video interview with a member of the recruitment team. The final part of the process is a virtual assessment centre which includes a numerical test, group exercise, case study and an interview.
Prior to the day, we’ll offer you a coaching call to help you prepare and we’ll connect you with a recent joiner for advice and guidance.
To help you prepare, we would encourage you to access Mazars Preparation Plus here. This site has been developed with Cappfinity who works with us to develop our assessment process and is dedicated to helping you understand what to expect when completing an application to one of our early careers roles.
Our online assessment is not timed but the system will record how long candidates take to complete it. The time is not taken into consideration for your score.
Please provide us with full details of any reasonable adjustments that you require so that we can support with your application process. Anyone who discloses reasonable adjustments is not discriminated against and we will work with you to provide the support you need. If you have any questions and want to speak to the team please use our dedicated email address, reasonableadjustments@mazars.co.uk and we can organise a phone call to discuss your needs.
Ahead of the assessment centre, we offer a coaching call with a member of the Early Careers team who will talk through the exercises in more detail and go through feedback from your first stage interview. There's nothing you need to do to arrange this; you will be contacted automatically before the assessment centre.
Having the correct contact details is important. If yours has changed, please email careers@mazars.co.uk with the correct details and we can update your application.
New interview slots are released each week and you will receive an email notification when this happens. These slots go very quickly so we advise choosing one as soon as you can. We are only able to offer you two invitations to book your interview, so if you have not booked on after the second invite, we will regretfully withdraw your application.
You will receive email updates at each stage of our application process. Please ensure that our emails are not going to your junk email folder. We really appreciate your patience and will provide you with an update as soon as we can. If you are concerned that you haven’t heard from us, please email careers@mazars.co.uk.
We recruit for most of our roles on a rolling basis and fill roles as and when successful candidates complete the application process. Some of our roles have fixed deadlines and assessment dates which you can see clearly stated in the job description. For all roles though we encourage you apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
You can select a second-choice office location and service line on the application form. If your first-choice vacancy fills before you’ve completed all the stages of the application process, we will offer you the opportunity to progress for your second-choice vacancy with us. Full details will be communicated to you.
No, you will remain at the same stage for the alternative role and do not need to retake any assessments, however we may need to understand your motivation for the different business area. We will clearly explain what is required from you if the situation arises.
