Hello, I’m Aaron

I have worked at Forvis Mazars since I graduated from Uni eight years ago and today, I’m a Manager in the Audit and Assurance team.

Day-to-day, I work alongside a range of privately owned, mid-market companies, managing the delivery of their audited financial statements and increasingly helping clients navigate periods of significant change in their business.

My role as a manager means I am proud to have a team of people that I lead, helping them to be the best they can be and supporting them with their growth and development. One of the things I’m most grateful for is the lifelong friendships I have made here. I’ve even been to five colleagues’ weddings in the last 18 months, and they also celebrated with me at my wedding just a few months ago.

Representation and diversity in the workplace also continue to be extremely important to me and I have the privilege of being a mentor on several firmwide supported initiatives, including Access Accountancy, 10k Black Interns and 10k Able Interns.

My time here has been eventful, particularly when I experienced a change in circumstances which meant I needed to be closer to my family. Forvis Mazars stepped in and helped me to move from Nottingham to our Birmingham office – it was a seamless transition for me, my clients and colleagues.

And then, during the pandemic I needed to take nine months out following a leukaemia diagnosis. Forvis Mazars could not have made me feel more secure, meaning I knew I had nothing to worry about from a work perspective. That unconditional support never wavered and within six months of my full-time return to work I found myself celebrating a promotion.
