Inclusion and Diversity

Fadouma, an intern in the Inclusion and Diversity team, shares with us her experience of hybrid working since joining, what the benefits are for her and why it strengthens the focus on wellbeing and inclusion at the firm.

The beauty of hybrid working at Mazars

This summer is my first time delving into the world of hybrid working. With more and more companies introducing hybrid work models post-pandemic, I'm grateful to have experienced this so early on in my career as I think it can be a daunting experience navigating this for the first time. I haven’t felt overwhelmed once since starting my internship with Mazars as I was guided into the work culture and hybrid working. Because of my team’s continued efforts in communicating with each other I never feel alone, even in my workspace at home. I always feel heard and I'm encouraged to voice my views and insights, which makes me feel welcomed. I don’t just feel like a tiny part of a big company, rather an individual with insightful thoughts that is part of a large welcoming Mazars community.

Autonomy

Mazars hybrid working model gives me the autonomy to decide how, when and most importantly where I work best. For many students like me, it's a refreshing experience to have the flexibility to figure out what works best for you. I can honestly say I've never really reflected on that, but through this experience I'm more self-aware of my working environment. I want to be the best version of myself while working and the flexibility of hybrid working enables me to do so.

Hybrid working is the best of both worlds

The flexibility of deciding what location I want to work from, be it home or in the office, positively affects my productivity and work outcomes. Depending on the day, I pick where I feel I could be my most productive.

Hybrid working also offers me a better work-life balance without the concern of being isolated from colleagues. I have regular catch-ups with my team, and if I need in-person social interaction, I can go into the office.

Mazar cares about your wellbeing

Mazars places wellbeing at the forefront of hybrid working.

Hybrid work also supports neurodiversity inclusion, as even seemingly simple accommodations such as flexibility can be precisely what neurodivergent talents need to thrive. In other words, hybrid working at Mazars supports neurodivergent employees by allowing them to work in a way that suits their particular needs.

Mazars’ efforts and commitments to promoting diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing continues to blow me away and I believe their hybrid work model is another structure reflecting this inclusive and welcoming culture.
