Job Purpose
As an Operations Assistant, you will be working at the heart of the business as an integral member of the team and primarily supporting the Operations Director. The ideal candidate will be a team player with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively, in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, across multidisciplinary teams. This role will be key in delivering support to the wider UK Tax Service Line in order to deliver our strategy and manage client workload in an optimal manner.
Role and Responsibilities:
Team & Talent
- Onboarding support for Grads (co-ordinating calls with Partners pre-start, support from experience team members)
- Co-ordination and organisation of technical training (agreeing presenters, content, delivery support and liaising with training team re U-learn)
- Co-ordination and organisation of soft skills training
- Following up on training courses/feedback, sharing of best practice
Transformation & Innovation
- Detailed process mapping and ensuring all processes are fully documented
- Document management analysis
- Admin support for various projects (Corporate Tax Compliance Transformation, POB Tax, Operating Model and Restructure)
Quality, risk & compliance
- Taking minutes and following up on actions from monthly meetings
- To provide support for the collection of information and data for the purposes of quality & risk reports
- Reporting on billing and utilisation to the Operations Director for all Business Units across the Tax Service Line
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Experience in a similar role working in a fast-paced professional services environment
- Ability to use own initiative, work under pressure and achieve deadlines
- Enthusiastic and flexible, positive ‘go the extra mile' approach. A self-starter and a positive attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including remote interactions and good organisational and time management abilities
- Proficient with all Microsoft applications
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise with strong attention to detail
