Job Purpose
To support the Audit Finance Business Partner in developing and delivering insightful reports on financial performance to our Business Unit Leaders. This role will assist the Finance Business Partners (FBPs) with monthly reporting, with the expectation of developing into a Finance Business Partner in 2-3 years time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and presentation of regular budgets and forecasts to reflect business strategy and plans
- Work with stakeholders to assist in forecasting income
- Develop improvements to our consolidation reporting
- Develop departmental reporting to reflect our new Service Line structure
- Produce weekly time analysis reports to predict income performance
- Preparation and analysis of KPI reporting
- Take a proactive approach in finding solutions to drive actions which address identified issues
- Effective communicator with the finance and service line teams.
- Assist Finance Business Partners in developing financial reporting.
- Complete income and cost variance analysis.
- Analyse data sets to create meaningful reports
- Work with our HR teams to Support finance headcount reporting and analysis
- Ensure compliance with income recognition rules and all other policies, processes and regulations
- Explore new ways to report performance by harnessing the capabilities of Power BI and Anaplan.
- Work closely with other business service teams to develop and integrate processes and foster knowledge sharing
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- This role requires strong excel skills and ability to extract and manipulate data with accuracy.
- Would suit someone with experience of a Time & Fees system or someone with a professional services background
- Experience with people resourcing systems would be preferable.
- Management Accounts experience is preferable
- Part Qualified or Qualified accountant.
- Would suit someone with career aspirations to become a Finance Business Partner in 2-3 years' time.
